BANDA LOS RECODITOS

Born in Mazatlán in 1989, Don Cruz Lizárraga and composer José Ángel Espinoza "Ferrusquilla" named them Banda Sinaloense Los Recoditos, but in 1990, Poncho Lizárraga changed the name to BANDA LOS RECODITOS. With just over 30 years of experience, they have managed to forge a successful career thanks to hard work, in which they have poured their enthusiasm and talent into offering the public the best of their music. And they have certainly succeeded, as it is precisely the public who has led them to achieve international awards and recognition such as the Latin Grammy, Lo Nuestro, Billboard Awards, Premios Oye, Bandamax, iHeart Radio, and Premios de la Radio, in addition to receiving nominations for the American Grammy and Premios Juventud, and having earned Gold and Platinum Records for high sales of their albums. The history of BANDA LOS RECODITOS has been written by each of the musicians who have been part of it; however, it is Doña Chuyita Lizárraga and her sons, Alfonso and Joel Lizárraga, who have gone all in to create one of the most prolific and successful bands of all time. This is demonstrated by the magnificent concerts they have performed throughout Mexico and the United States, highlighting those they have performed at the National Auditorium and the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, in addition to having taken their music to Central American countries such as Nicaragua and El Salvador. They have had many successes throughout their three-decade career, including being the first Latin artist to perform a showcase at the iconic Capito Records building in Hollywood, California. In February 2021, they released their album "VIVIR LA VIDA," which features rancheras, ballads, and cumbias. This album earned RECODITOS a 2021 Latin Grammy nomination in the “Best Banda Album” category. In January 2022, they released their EP “ME SIENTO A TODO DAR,” which consists of six songs: “Llorando en un carro del año” (first single), “Celoso Enamorado,” “Qué borrachera,” “El Santo del Pueblo” (a duet with Jovanny Cadena), “Mi regreso al rancho,” and the title track, “Me siento a todo dar.” This album earned them a 2022 Latin Grammy nomination in the “Best Banda Album” category. LOS RECODITOS were nominated for the 2023 Latin American Music Awards for “Best Regional Mexican Duo or Group.” In 2024, BANDA LOS RECODITOS celebrates 35 years of career with the release of their EP “Y ¿QUÉ TIENE?” A production by Alfonso Lizárraga, it consists of six melodies, both ballads and rancheras, including a duet with Edwin Luna and La Trakalosa on the title track. The following songs complement this EP: "Vas a querer volver," "Me va a perder," "No me prometas," "Te quiero sólo para mí," and "Olvídalo conmigo," the latter being the focus of this production. In early 2024, BANDA LOS RECODITOS were nominated for Premios Lo Nuestro in the categories of Group or Duo of the Year in Mexican Music and Band of the Year in Mexican Music thanks to the song "Fuerte no soy," which was played on the radio for several weeks and is included on the album "¿EN QUÉ LES MOLESTA?" Later that year, they received a Billboard Latin Music Award nomination for "Regional Mexican Song of the Year" for the song "Vas a querer volver," which is included on their EP "Y ¿QUÉ TIENE?" released in May of this year. In June 2024, BANDA LOS RECODITOS released their new single "S Cool... ito," a distinctive song where the music emerges to give way to the "banda-war" genre. A song that impresses with its structure, lyrics, and musical arrangement, and then gives way to the song "De amiri," a melody that could be defined as "altered" in the "band" genre. Later, they released the third track from their new album, to be released in 2025. The song is titled "Mi lugar seguro," a ranchera about heartbreak; it's one of those songs that tears at our souls because it speaks of betrayal, disloyalty, and deception in a relationship. In 2024, BANDA LOS RECODITOS were nominated for Premios Lo Nuestro (Mexican Music Group or Duo of the Year and Mexican Music Band of the Year for their song "Fuerte no soy") and for the Latin Billboard 2024 Awards (Regional Mexican Song of the Year for their song "Vas a querer volver," which is included on their EP "Y ¿QUÉ TIENE?").
