Miami, FL (September 5, 2025) – SAHIR MONTOYA returns with a brand-new song in collaboration with Mexican hip-hop and rap artist NETO PEÑA. Together, they release “KHALIFA,” a heartbreak track in which Sahir incorporates the instruments that define his musical style, this time adding a more sorrowful and laid-back rhythm.
For this new single, now available on all digital platforms, both artists explored the sierreño tumbado genre. They chose the title “KHALIFA” because in the final part of the song, the lyrics say: “quería que fueras mía, mía y nomás mía, mía” (“I wanted you to be mine, mine, only mine, mine”), playfully paying subliminal homage to actress Mia Khalifa.
The song was written by Marcelo Rivera, Alex Hernández, Iván Gámez, and SAHIR MONTOYA. “KHALIFA” was also produced by Marcelo Rivera, a renowned music producer who has emerged as a key figure in the evolution of contemporary regional Mexican music and who has collaborated with some of the genre’s leading artists.
At just 21 years old, SAHIR MONTOYA has already showcased a unique talent for creating successful musical productions and continues to make waves with songs like “La P-90” and “Mustangson,” tracks that have racked up millions of streams and cemented his growing presence in music. The music video for his single “NECIA,” alongside Estevan Plazola, has already surpassed 5 million views on YouTube in just one month since its release.
