KNOWN AS ONE OF MEXICO’S MOST BELOVED AND CELEBRATED VOICES, EDITH OFFERS A HEARTFELT HOMAGE TO ANOTHER ICON OF OUR CULTURE, ‘LA DÚRCAL,’ CREATING AN EMOTIONAL BRIDGE BETWEEN THE PAST AND PRESENT OF THE RANCHERA TRADITION
Miami, FL (August 29, 2025) – “Like a sigh that turns into music…” That is how we could define 'Eterna e Inolvidable,' Edith Márquez’s new album, which is more than just a tribute to the work of Rocío Dúrcal: it is a meeting point between two talents who have marked Mexican music with their voice, devotion, and passion.
In 'Eterna e Inolvidable,' Edith revisits some of La Dúrcal’s most powerful anthems, not as mere covers, but as reinterpretations where feminine strength and a profound sense of identity are felt in every note—creating a connection between the nostalgia of these classics and the vitality of contemporary regional music.
Produced by Kiko Cibrián (who worked with Dúrcal herself), the album brings together ten carefully selected gems, including “Amor Eterno,” “Me Nace del Corazón,” “Costumbres,” and “Me Gustas Mucho.” Among them, the focus track “Déjame Vivir” stands out—a vibrant duet with Adriel Favela, one of the most versatile and charismatic talents in regional Mexican music, whose voice and style bring new brilliance to this immortal classic once united by Rocío Dúrcal and Juan Gabriel, now reimagined with playfulness in the official video of the song.
Speaking about 'Eterna e Inolvidable,' Edith shares: “I had the opportunity to meet her when I received my first gold record. She was an incredible woman, inside and out. After 25 years since that moment, paying this tribute with respect and love is something very important to me.”
Ultimately, 'Eterna e Inolvidable' is presented as an embrace between Spain and Mexico, which will be celebrated on October 3 at the Auditorio Nacional in a concert that promises to be as intimate as it is grand.
'Eterna e Inolvidable' by Edith Márquez is now available on all platforms—don’t miss the chance to experience these songs, ready to reach new voices, ears, and hearts.
