Following a period marked by major international performances and new projects, including their historic arrival on stages across Canada, the group continues to expand its legacy with a nomination at Premios Juventud 2026 in the category of Best Banda Song – Mexican Music for “No Me Aprovechaste.”

Miami, FL (Tuesday, July 28, 2026) — BANDA EL RECODO DE CRUZ LIZÁRRAGA has been nominated for Premios Juventud 2026 in the Best Mexican Banda Music category for “No Me Aprovechaste,” a recognition that becomes part of a career spanning more than eight decades and continues to shape the future of Regional Mexican music. Fans can now support BANDA EL RECODO by voting through the official Premios Juventud website.

The recognition arrives following a historic milestone for both groups, as “La Madre de Todas las Bandas” and Banda Los Recoditos became the first Regional Mexican music acts to conquer stages in Calgary and Vancouver, Canada, bringing Mexico’s culture, traditions, and sounds to new territories. With nine decades of history, BANDA EL RECODO DE CRUZ LIZÁRRAGA, and more than 35 years of legacy from Banda Los Recoditos, marked a new milestone in their careers by performing for the first time in Canada, delivering two unforgettable and historic nights.

As part of their international tour, both groups delivered memorable performances on July 25 at The Big Four (Calgary) and July 26 at the iconic Pacific Coliseum (Vancouver), where thousands of attendees—from the Latino community to local audiences—celebrated their greatest hits during two nights filled with energy, nostalgia, and Mexican pride.

In recent months, BANDA EL RECODO has continued strengthening its international presence with the announcement of its second consecutive European tour, a run of concerts that will take the group to nine cities across Europe throughout September and October. The tour further reinforces the global reach of "La Madre de Todas las Bandas" and its enduring connection with audiences across generations around the world.

The band's schedule has also been marked by high-profile projects. In addition to recording the official anthem for Teletón México 2026 -which will be available on platforms on August 12th-, BANDA EL RECODO took part in the historic FIFA Fan Fest during the opening of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico City, further highlighting a period of landmark performances and institutional collaborations that reflect the group's enduring significance within Mexican music.

With this Premios Juventud nomination, BANDA EL RECODO DE CRUZ LIZÁRRAGA further reinforces the reach of a legacy built across generations and the lasting impact of a group that continues to bring Mexican music to some of the world's most important stages. Premios Juventud 2026 will air LIVE on Univision on September 3 from Marbella, Spain.
