Miami, FL (January 19, 2026) – BANDA EL RECODO DE CRUZ LIZÁRRAGA kicks off 2026 in a big way! On one hand, last week they received the news of their nomination for Premio Lo Nuestro 2026 in the category Group or Duo of the Year – Mexican Music, and now they have reached #1 on U.S. radio thanks to their song “Solo tú.”
“Solo tú” has landed in the top position of the Regional Mexican Chart from the prestigious Billboard Magazine. The song, released on October 30, is a cover of Spanish singer-songwriter Camilo Sesto, who made it a major hit with his own interpretation back in 1976. Now, under the sound of the Sinaloan band El Recodo, it has taken on new life while maintaining the rhythm of the original ballad.
The song speaks of love—of that unrestrained love for which one gives up everything and everyone; a love that makes us belong, ignites our passions, and for which we would go crazy if we were to lose it. The official video currently has just over 5.3 million views.
“Solo tú” will be part of the new production by the so-called 'Madre de todas las Bandas,' for which they are already selecting the songs that will make up the album in its entirety. So very soon we will have news about new music from BANDA EL RECODO DE CRUZ LIZÁRRAGA.
